Produced from ethically sourced wild invasives from the foothills of Eastern Himalayas “ The Dooars”, or popularly known as North Bengal
This is our first designed Heritage Textile - that is a fashion statement that advocates for conservation and restoration of degraded habitat. When you walk in the room, with our Restore Earth “Invasives to Income” heritage wear jacket, you become our voice to our cause, mission, and vision. We plan to restore 5000+ha of degraded forest across the foothills of Eastern Himalayas with Indigenous and Rural Communities. A region, known for the richness and confluence of many traditional practices, home to the Indigenous Bodo and Karbi community, gateway to Indo-Burma-Bhutan border, also houses the UNESCO site - Manas Biosphere Reserve. It captures, the story of the grasslands that are being lost due to overgrowth of invasives. 60% of the park’s grassland is now deeply infested by invasives. Conservation of the grasslands in Manas, is critical for restoring the habitat for many mega endangered grassland obligate herbivories - Hog Deer, Pygmy Hog, Wild Buffalo, Asian Rhino, and Bengal Florican. Manas - the birth place of “Reweave” tells the story of three ecologist, and our Founder who started their conservation journey two decades back. The future of conservation is production from Invasives, to restore degraded habitats. In partnership with communities, our Co-founder and design partners, we are crafting a new pathway forward - Reweave Restoration with Us. Become a sponsor and brand partner to support our mission to restore 5000+ ha of invasive dominated landscape across the region. Our pioneered sustainable eco-packaging produced from ethically sourced invasives from the deep lust green tropical forest of along the foothills of Eastern Himalayas - “The Dooars” or popularly known as North Bengal. By buying these unbleached molded fiber set of bowls, you will be supporting the Women led co-operatives comprised of local and Indigenous communities, Bodo, Karbi, Adivashi, Toto, and others, we work with through our non-profit Reweave Collectives.

This is our most unique prototype product, that interweaves two cultural practices ethnic to the rural and Indigenous cultures across the foothills of Eastern Himalayas - creating natural dye, traditional hand weaving, and block printing. Reweave’s “Restore Earth Heritage Bag” captures our mission and vision, of Reweaving Ecological Restoration with Traditional and Culture practices. We are restoring our planet, by removing obnoxious invasives, that are chocking our forests, grasslands, and agricultural field, and transforming them into these trademarked products to restore biodiversity and elephant habitat, while reviving traditional practices of weaving and carving hand blocks, to design our “Heritage Textile”
This Unisex Double Sided Heritage Jacket, is a statement of “Agility, Innovation, Restoration, Design, and Cross pollination” across many cultures. Our trademark symbol, “Owl” reminds us of the noctural birds that makes the forest alive at night. The “Elephant” reminds us of the journey we have to take to reforest the fragment human dominated landscape by building corridors, for these graceful giants. The “Beige” color represents the soils and the earth we are restoring, with One Jacket at a time. The soft color, signals us to slow down, to take the time to pause, and rejuvinate - following seasonal cycle in nature. When you turn the jacket inward, we hope that your feel deep connection with yourself, and gratitude for telling our store to the world, by choosing to become the voice for the birds, the mammals, the soil, the earth, that needs your attention to heal. This is the “Healing with Nature” side of the jacket, inviting you to join in a deeper healing by healing others - the nature, the communities, the soil.
The other side is the “Vibrant You” that emerges like a butterfly from its cocoon, spreading its wing to fly across the beautiful garden visiting every flower. Like the monarch, that only feeds on the flowers of Milk Weed, this beautiful bring fabric, comes from “Phulia” — a district in West Bengal, the only place that still produces the highest quality of soft cotton. Despite its unique quality, the weavers from this region, are disappearing due to lack of interest in handwoven cotton, to support fast fashion. Like the Monarch these cotton fabrics, are unique to a region and home to last 40 weavers. If we loose Milkweed, the Monarch will die. If we loose the demand for handwoven cotton textile produced by the last remaining weavers in “Phulia” we loose a generation of knowledge.
By Reweaving the journey of “The Monarch” and “Healing with Nature” in our most precious Heritage Textile, wear we are restoring Culture, Tradition, Communities, Biodiversity and Forest. We invite you become a member, and sponsor the production of our flagship product — “Meet the Monarch ”
